RIP Michael Jackson, probably the world of music's biggest asset. Michael was, is, a genius and the entire world will be a sadder place for his leaving. Michael was just two months younger than me but I have followed his progress since first seeing him on TV in the late Sixties. I'm gutted he has gone, it still seems so unbelievable. My granddaughter, 9, was asking about me him today as we watched one the many tribute shows being broadcast. She had only just become a fan and now is denied the sheer wonder that is Michael Jackson. He had his critics but overall, Michael's persona reached out to millions upon millions and spanned generations. It is so sad but at least we have the legacy that can never be denied, his music and as long as we have that, Michael Jackson will always be alive...   Added: June 27, 2009
